I don't think there are many options at this point to allow the war to continue. Though Russia is not at the strength that is needed to successfully end the war on the military front, the new US administration is not making a case for the Ukraine to continue either.
Why might you be wrong?
NATO membership will be key and the relationship between US and Nato as well. Ukraine cannot agree to a ceasefire without necessary guarantees.
