I have for a long time been interested in research related to the future. It has more or less been a childhood dream to study the future. I think I have Isaac Asimov and his foundation series to thank for that. Before the full scale invasion of Ukraine I was more interested in China, but since the full scale invasion I have mainly focused on Ukraine. I am fascinated by how everything of importance that happens in the world seems interconnected. AI, politics, wars. Normally, as a European, I wouldn't be very interested in US politics, but lately I have come to understand that what happens in the USA is of existential importance for a lot of people outside USA. Me included. Therefore, today, I follow what happens in the USA closely.

“This joint pledge to contribute the PURL initiative will further strengthen the commitment of the Nordic and Baltic countries to supporting Ukraine. It is crucial that Ukraine receives critical defence materiel quickly,” said Finland’s Minister of Defence Antti Häkkänen.

The messages from the White House sometimes tend to be ambiguous when it comes to decisions related to Ukraine. There is a constant uncertainty that must be taken into account.
