@Mauricio_B to determine this future scenario, I would add the information provided by the WIPO World Intellectual Property Report 2019: "[...] before the year 2000, Japan, the United States of America and the Western European economies generated 90% of the patenting activity and more than 70% of the scientific publications worldwide. Those percentages dropped to 70% and 50%, respectively, relative to the 2015-2017 period, amid growing activity in China, India, Israel, Singapore and the Republic of Korea, among other countries". In addition to that, the report identifies new players from Asian, who are responsible for more and more scientific research and
inventions, we also have to see the trend of incorporation of Chinese universities to the ranking and the trend of promotion. Taking the above into account, I would say that the trend will be:

Less than or equal to 5: 10%
Between 6 and 7: 33%
More than or equal to 8: 57%

I checked the base rate, the possible answers seem good to me. I just would include a link to a question about publications with Chinese co-auhtor,that imight be relevant becasue the emphasis on peer review (40%) of the QS ranking.

I understand that not all Chinese co-authors are in Chine universities, but that information could be useful.
