This question will be resolved using the Armed Conflict Location and Event Data (ACLED) project’s dashboard. To count the number of protest and riot events and their related fatalities in Saudi Arabia’s Eastern Province:

Adjust the “Event Date” filter to the relevant dates
Select the following event types:
- Riots
- Protests
In the Region filter, select “Eastern” under “Saudi Arabia”
Click “Apply Filters”
Use the dropdown box located on the upper right side of the line graph to switch between “Event Count” and “Fatalities”
