I did my doctoral work on creating risk assessments of potential political violence based on data analytics and econometric models of gambling behavior. I later worked to analyze ways to “predict” the placement of IED devices targeting US Troops in Iraq and Afghanistan. This lead to the creation of models used to target rhino poachers and other criminals in Africa. I also spent 3 years working on risk assessment at the destroyed Fukushima nuclear complex.
